DIY Temporary Tattoos

How To Apply the Temporary Tattoos

✨ How to Apply DIY Temporary Tattoos (Kid-Friendly & Easy!)

Here’s a simple guide to help you (and your little ones) apply temporary tattoos like a pro!

✅ What You’ll Need:

  • Inkjet Printer

  • Scissors

  • A damp cloth or sponge

  • Temporary Tattoo Paper

  • Water

  • Optional: baby powder and a makeup brush (for longer-lasting tattoos)

🪄 Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Create Your Tattoo Design

Let your kids design (or you can use my predesigned options for free!)

  • Temporary tattoo paper

2. Cut It Out

Cut closely around the tattoo design. The smaller the edges, the more realistic the tattoo looks.

3. Place Tattoo on Skin

Put the tattoo face down on clean, dry skin.

Tip: Make sure the skin is free of lotion or oils for best results!

4. Add Water

Take your damp cloth or sponge and press it firmly on the back of the tattoo. Hold it for 30–60 seconds. Make sure the entire design gets wet.

5. Peel & Reveal!

Gently peel off the backing paper or parchment. Voila! Your awesome new tattoo is ready to show off. 🎉

6. Optional: Set It for Longer Wear

Dust a bit of baby powder over the tattoo and pat it gently. This can help it stay on longer—perfect for active summer days!

💡 Tips for Best Results:

  • Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the tattoo area.

  • Temporary tattoos usually last up to 7 days.

  • When you're ready to remove it, use baby oil or a gentle makeup remover.
